I am really interested in careers related to biology so I decided to make a couple of infographics pertaining to a biology degree.

For my final series, I decided to make social art which conveyed a topic that I am passionate about. This topic turned out to be spreading advocacy on information on climate change and environmental issues in the form of art. It was amazing combining two of my favorite things (digital art, and environmental studies). I was also able to work on art which I struggled on. I usually struggle in drawing people, so I wanted to work on my ability and perseverance in drawing people, and telling myself not to give up! In a year I want to re-draw these art pieces and see if I have improved. If you're finished reading this you should try biking/walking/carpooling more, spreading awareness on climate change to your friends, and just little things such as skipping eating red meat for a day, or even hugging a tree :D
I have always been really into photo manipulation-and I wanted to try adding flowers to a "broken" face. To me, flowers have always been aesthetic, a sign of beauty, and they can be interpreted differently. For example, in this project I interpret the meaning as "there can beauty in broken things", but others can read it completely differently. I chose the Shawn Mendes album cover for inspiration because it is very popular, but also unique and simplistic.
I made a series of art on twisted light fibers, and created them on photoshop. To me, abstract art is unique because it tells a different story to everyone who sees it. I started by using a photo, and applying filters on it such as pixelating it and twisting it. I also changed the blend mode so it would stand out more. It is interesting because even if I apply the same process to every single photo, they all turn out so different. Here are two of the twisted light fibers I created:
10 Digital Artists I am Inspired By:
-- Kory Miller- Super cute, simplistic nature style. Minimal shading but adds in a huge detail! -- Justin Maller- Such an inspiring and creative idea for his artwork. Although they are made with shapes: he knows how to make them look fantasy, but also have his subjects come to life -- Alberto Seveso- Photo manipulation fascinates me, and seeing his artwork is very inspiring because of something I have always wanted to do. -- Timothy J Reynolds- His style is so unique, and it reminds me of a virtual world. Although is style is more fantasy/cartoony, his shading adds a three dimensional and realistic effect to it. -- Andrew Fairclough- part of a reason I love digital art so much is because of the many styles of art one can draw. His style is like a comic book, and it seems like it was drawn on paper but it has an amazing touch to it which makes it come to life. The black and white also works out so well! -- JR Schmidt- I love his style of art! Although it is geometric, it is so realistic and it really inspires me! -- Made By Radio- I enjoy how simple but adorable their style of artwork is. Their animations are also so cute but super smooth! -- Dan Mountford- His double exposures are so amazing and inspiring. They look so realistic but fantasy at the same time -- David Rollyn- His style is so simple, but that is what makes it more unique. I personally think it is very artsy, and would be useful for so many design |
